Maxtor BlackArmor 160GB
Maxtor’s BackArmor hard drive is a lot like other portable hard drives:
  • 160GB, 5400RPM
  • USB 2.0 (bus-powered)
  • weighs just 7 ounces

So why does it cost $129 when other 160GB portable drives are going for less than $100?

Because it features built-in 128-bit AES Government-grade encryption. This security measure automatically encrypts all data written to the drive and prevents unauthorized access, “no exceptions!”

Backup and sync software is bundled with the BlackArmor, as is SecureErase, a utility for securely deleting items that are stored on the drive.

CDW is the only place you can pick up the BlackArmor (for the aforementioned $129 price).

Mac users have to sit this one out, as the BlackArmor only supports Windows XP and Vista.
