Amazon has just taken the wraps off its newest Kindle reading device and it’s a beauty.
The first Kindle caught our attention but didn’t capture it very long—sure, it looked like it was the best eBook reader out there but at $400 the clunky-looking device with an unproven record was never on our wishlist.
But with 2 years of experience, 230,000 books available, and a sleek new design that’s as thick as a pencil, count us in.
Other features of Kindle 2 that we’re digging on that were missing on in the first generation include:
- a new 5-way controller
- 25% longer battery life
- 20% faster page turns
- 16 shades of grey for even easier reading
- storage for more than 1,500 books
- and more
Check it out, we think you’ll like it.
Pre-order for $359 from Amazon; ships February 24, 2009
